This is my favorite Italian place in Seattle. It has a cozy and interesting ambiance and the food is phenomenal. I especially love the bread and the seasonal dishes. Each entree comes with a fresh salad, with optional upgrade to Caesar salad, spinach salad, or soup. I honestly liked the starter salad the best.
All our dishes felt very high quality. They were well made and their ingredients seemed especially good. My favorite dish was the forest floor frenzy and it's assortment of mushrooms. So tasty.
In conclusion, this would be a great place for a date night. Tasty food, cozy ambiance, unusual decor, and not too loud to have conversation. Watch out though, it's popular and if you go at prime dinner time, you'll need to wait. -

Decided to try this Italian Restaurant within walking distance of our son and daughter in laws place in Wallingford. It was a delight; we were seated quickly. The service and food was outstanding!
The only issue for us was somewhat uncomfortable as no air conditioning on this warm Seattle evening! -

Definitely going back here on my next trip to Seattle! Yes this place is bizarre and many have reviewed why but I am going to tell you to come for the food.
I got the pesto ravioli which I believe was on the seasonal menu. Three cheese ravioli with a creamy pesto sauce and cherry tomatoes, topped with a perfect almond crunch. The flavor in this dish was top notch.
This just might be the best pasta I have ever had at a restaurant.
My husband got The Cow.....
A strip steak with thrice cooked home made jo jo's. Roasted brussel sprouts and topped with a fresh chimichurri sauce.
He loved it.
We got the Arancini for an appetizer- fried saffron infused risotto served over smoky marinara. The risotto could have used a little more flavor. However there was a lot of flavor in the marinara. I am not a fan of the smoky flavor but that is just a personal preference.
We had great little table by the window.
I may have broken the no cell phone policy (which I respect) by taking pictures, not sure if that will be frowned upon. But I'm hoping taking pictures to post my 5 star review isn't what they meant. -

Snap pea carbonara had the right flavors with the heavy cheesiness cut by the crispy snap peas and pancetta. The linguini, however, was overcooked and a sad lump hard to separate. For appetizer, the Arancini rice balls were heavy and cheesy but made for a nicely textured dish. Love the outlandish decor and would be back for more pasta.

This is by far my favorite Italian restaurant in the Seattle area and maybe overall. The restaurant itself looks like a garage sale exploded on the walls and ceiling but it it is one of the reasons that makes the place so fun and unique. The service has always been amazing and just after going there a few times, they knew what we wanted to order. The food itself is absolutely divine. I don't stray far from their lasagna as it truly melts in your mouth. And then there is their bread! Another treat that you get to soak up all that wonderful red sauce! I can't describe the sauce other than delicious. Love this place and will keep going and going!
